We're introducing some updates to our Competency Side Panel to make it more user-friendly and functional. Here's what's changed and how you can make the most of it:
New Upgraded Experience
The side panel now looks and feels better, with easier navigation and clearer sections. This makes finding what you need simpler.
This can be accessed from the following places on the platform
- On the Homepage: Scroll down to the competencies section and click on any competency to open the panel.
- On the Profile Page: Find competencies listed in the summary section under the coaching sub-section.
- On 1:1 Panel: Access the side panel via the competencies sub-section of the employee progress panel.
Simpler Check-In Experience + Added Functionality
We've improved the check-in process with:
- New Label Selection and Progress Bar Design: Check-in now shows level score ranges, making it easier to see progress.
- Easier Comment Section Access: Leave comments directly within the check-in section, like with goals check-ins.
- History Section: Track progress with a new history section showing progress graphs and history.
- Simpler Overall Design: The design is now more intuitive, making it easier to use.
Manual Competency Level Adjustment
Employees, Managers, and Admins can now manually change competency levels for employees directly from the side panel.
Configurable Level Labels
You can customise competency level labels to fit your organisation's needs. Here are the default labels:
- Not enough data
- Starting
- Building
- Skilled
- Excelled
Changes to Feedback Section
Clicking on a competency in the feedback module won't open the side panel anymore.
How to Access the Competency Side Panel
