Time-period Dropdowns in Mesh

On the Mesh dashboard, the time-period dropdowns play a very important role. While you'll find this dropdown at many places within the dashboard, there are some crucial features that require you to have an absolute understanding of how the time-period dropdown functions. Say, for example, while formulating Objectives for your organization.

The dropdown can be seen below:

The upper part will always have only 3 timelines - the current timeline, the immediate past timeline from the current one and the immediate next from the current one, with the current one being labelled, so as to avoid any confusion. In the current image, you're seeing yearly timelines because the Objective frequency has been set to yearly by the admin.

A secondary part to this same drop-down can exist which consists of all the other timelines that have ever been built by the admin on Mesh, again arranged chronologically. The only catch here is that for a timeline to appear in this list, it needs to mandatorily have at least 1 Objectives mapped to it, irrespective of whatever other data a timeline is mapped to such as KRs.

In the Insights section, however, you'll find a different kind of time-period dropdown, owing to the fact that reporting and analysis visibility cannot be as per pre-determined timelines and is completely at the discretion of the viewer.

Very simple and straightforward, the time-period dropdown here has a few commonly used timeline options on the left hand side (this quarter, last quarter, last two months, etc) while the right hand side showcases the typical calendar for viewers to select any date range they wish to get a view on. The drop down also shows the start date and end date of your selected date range so as to avoid confusion when the selected date ranges are big.
