Welcome to the Goals module, your comprehensive platform for seamless goal management.
To visit the Goals module, select Performance from the right section of the top navigation bar, and select Goals from the dropdown that follows:
Depending upon the visibility settings defined by your admin, you would be able to view your goals (in the form of My Goals) and your company goals (in the form of My Company).
Moreover, if you are a Manager, you would also be able to view the goals belonging to your Department and your Team under the My Department and My Team sections respectively.
You can toggle between these sections in the top left corner of the screen here.
In this article, we would be discussing the elements of the Goals Homepage, and all that you can do on the same.
My Goals
By default, you would be on the My Goals section.
Inside the Explore tab, you can view the goals where you are an owner or a collaborator.
Goals would be displayed specific to their Timeline, which is present in the top right corner of the screen, below the top navigation bar. You can change the timeline to view goals relative to a different timeline.
The Search section below the Explore tab allows you to search for any goal within the particular timeline and present it in the My Goals section.
To add a new goal, click on the Add new button towards the right side of the screen. Depending on your access, you can add either an objective or a key result.
Every goal has the following data displayed upfront:
Goal Name, along with Goal Type denoted by an icon(objective or key result). If the goal is an Objective, you can also see the Level at which the Objective is defined (displayed in the case of Company/Department/Team Goals).
In the above screenshot, you can see that “Execute with high output and quality” is an Objective defined at the Department level.
The visibility of objectives and cascading would depend on the goal-setting methodology as defined by your admin.
Owner of the goal
In the Explore tab of the “My Goals” section, you would be seeing goals where you are either the Owner or Collaborator.
Due date
This is the date by which the goal is due to be completed. You can read more about setting timelines for your goal here.
Progress
The progress of the goal can be seen in the Progress column, along with the status of the goal.
To know more about status and check-ins, please visit this page.
Other data that can be displayed in the form of columns on the Goals homepage can be:
Collaborators
This column would show the collaborators (if any) defined for the goal.
Team
This column shows the team that the goal belongs to.
Start date
This column shows the start date of the goal
You can configure the visibility and order of display of these columns by using the Columns tab towards the far right of the table.
The Hierarchy tab can be utilised to get an idea of the hierarchy of the goals where the user is an owner or collaborator. Thus, you can see the parent goals of the ones where you are an owner or collaborator, in order to visualise strategic objectives and key results (depending upon whether they are public)
The Ellipsis icon carries a list of options that are actions which can be taken for every goal.
