Sharing Feedback fosters a collaborative workplace, driving improvement, mutual growth, and a positive impact on collective success.
There are several ways in which you can access the
Share Feedback option on Mesh. You can refer to them in
this article.
In this article, we discuss the process of filling the Feedback Form and sharing it on Mesh.
To share a Feedback on Mesh,
Step 1: Select Feedback under Coaching from the top bar.
Step 2: You will be able to see a list of feedback that you have received from your colleagues. Hover on the Share/Request button, and select Share Feedback.
This will open the Share Feedback panel.
After you have opened the Share Feedback panel, you can fill in the following details to make your feedback richer and more actionable.
Step 3: Select the Type of feedback: You can select whether the feedback is a Praise or an Advice.
Step 4: Select Visibility: Choose the target to whom the feedback is visible by clicking on the Visibility option at the top right of the panel.
- Public: Visible to everybody
Note: If visibility is public, we will show a message to the user about the feedback being visible to everyone in the org
- Receiver and Manager: Visible to only receiver and their manager
- Only Receiver: Visible only to the receiver and no one else
- Only Manager: Visible only to the manager of the receiver and no one else
- Note to Self: Visible only to you and no one else
By default, a Praise has Public visibility whereas the visibility for an Advice is limited to the Reciever and Manager. You can always change these settings using the Visibility field.
Step 5: Tag your colleagues: Search and tag your colleague(s) for whom you want to share feedback. You can do that by pressing the “@” button and searching for people to tag.
Step 6: On adding your colleagues, you can use the Add Related Goal button to select a goal that helps build context around your feedback.
For instance, if I wish to share feedback with Ulric, I can select a key result from the list and thus, add it to the Related Goals section in the feedback.
Do note that all the goals in the list are relative to the timeline specified at the top right corner of the screen, which can always be changed if feedback needs to be given for a goal in a different timeline.
Step 7: Add competencies: Use # to add a competency(or competencies) from the dropdown or select from the list of competencies at the bottom for which you want to share feedback.
If you are an Admin, you can also create new competencies in the Settings section for your Profile.
Step 8: Click on the Save button to share the feedback.
You will be able to find it under the Shared by Me filter in the Feedback table.
Mesh recommends you include images, GIFs and emojis in your feedback to make it more fun to read, and to add your feedback in a manner that has context, add your observation about the context, add the impact that the action of the receiver had and add the next steps. This is also called the COIN Framework.
