An employee’s manager usually has the most, if not all, context on their work and performance. It is therefore imperative to want to let the managers break the results to the employees or have a conversation about it. On Mesh, admins can share performance snapshots or results with managers if they want to, managers can then further share results with employees.
This not only improves the flow of the conversation to all nodes of the organization but also improve efficiency from a reviews perspective.
Mechanics of sharing results
As an admin on Mesh, you should be able to see three different categories, provided there are more than zero employees falling into those categories. These are
- Share results to employees → this action allows you to share results directly with an employee. Only team members with completed self and manager reviews would appear here.
- No action → Employees in this category would either have one or more of their reviews pending or results would have already been shared with them. In any case, employees would only appear in the first category if they have completed reviews and results aren’t already published to them.
Sharing results with employees as a manager
Step 1: Navigate to the My Team page within the reviews module. Home → Reviews → My Team.
Step 2: From the available list of employees in the list, select any or all employees you want to share results with managers of.
Note - you can also choose to select all employees from the “Select all employees button”
Step 3: From the action menu on top of the list click on “Share results” button. A window with further actions should appear.
Step 4: There would be three sections in the window explaining the actions, or lack thereof.
Step 5: Select “Share results directly with employees” option and click on the “Next” button.
Step 6: Once satisfied with your selection on the summary window, click on the confirmation checkbox and click “Share” to share results with employees.
That’s it! Team members with shared results would now be able to view and acknowledge results from the My Reviews page. The status for the particular team member on My Team page would also change to “Published to employee” and would be visible to both admins and managers.
